Gripping who dunnit
The plot moved along at a steady pace. I found myself absolutely hating some of the characters; one was a cad, and the main characters wife was beyond belief. The story was interesting and the listener had plenty of opportunities to connect dots, or not. I keep looking forward to the next chapter and the next.
I would definitely choose to listen to other titles by this author.

Great read.. last chapters were full of suspense
First book by this author, definitely will read more.
The second half of the book creates ambiguity, intrigue and submission as all the characters get rattled and tumbled. Well narrated with enthusiasm.

Slow at first, but then...
Feels a little slow at the beginning, with a lot of info that doesn’t seem related to the case at first, but slowly builds up momentum and things start to connect... until it gets really exciting, and when you think you are at the end of the story, there is still more to come.
Performance is great, although voices for all females and other males feels like the same intonation and accent...

Not up to the rest of the series
The way the main character was portrayed really irritated me. I am not sure if this was the writing or the narration, or both. Otherwise the story was interesting, which kept me listening to the end. I have enjoyed other books in this series which made this one more disappointing.

If you love your plots and twist in the human psyche. This is a book for you. As the mystery unveiled closer towards the end of the chapters, it just surprised you with a climax of events. Don't want to spoil it for you but listening to Crispin Redman great transformation into different characters surely hooks me right up day after day.

Gripping! Not my kind of novel, but it was a bonus freebie. So glad I gave it a go. Will buy the rest now. So I would say it has broadened my horizon. I highly recommend it.
