Monthly Audible membership plans can be placed on hold once every 12 months for a duration of up to three months. During this time you will not be billed your monthly membership fee.
To place your account on hold, please contact Customer Care. You will still have access to all of your benefits while on hold such as:
  • Access to any unused credits
  • Advanced notice of sales and promotions
Note: Customers on an annual membership cannot put their account on hold.

You can update your account information any time by going to your Account Settings page and clicking Edit next to the information you would like to update. Click the button below to open the Account Settings page.

Credits are allotments that are earned either monthly or annually with an Audible membership. One credit is good toward the purchase of one single- volume audiobook on the Audible site, regardless of its original price.
Each credit is applied during the checkout phase and will bring your subtotal to $0.00, so long as the number of audiobooks being purchased does not exceed the number of credits being used. This is a great way to save money on our audiobooks, many of which would normally exceed the cost of a credit!

All Audible memberships give you credits to purchase books. Credits that you receive as part of your membership benefits are redeemable towards any Audible purchase and will be applied during checkout.

Your card has not been charged. A $1.00 hold will appear on your card after making a purchase with a debit or credit card. Once your Audible charge processes, this $1.00 charge will be removed from your account. We are sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

Your charge may have been declined for several reasons. Follow the steps below to update or change your payment method:
  1. Click Manage credit cards from your Account Details page

The charge you see on your statement is from Audible, an Amazon company. Audible is a subscription-based, digital-books entertainment service that sells books, original audio shows, and more. If you did not make a purchase with Audible, enroll in a free-trial offer, or purchase a Kindle eBook audio add-on and would like to speak to Customer Service, choose a contact method below.

You can purchase audiobooks from your mobile device by visiting audible.com.au using your device's web browser.
Newly purchased titles will then appear in the Cloud section of the Audible mobile app.
Note: You cannot purchase audiobooks from within the iOS app at this time. You can also purchase titles on your desktop computer through the Audible desktop website by using the Search bar at the top-right of the homepage to locate your audiobook.

You can shop for, purchase, and listen to audiobooks on your Mac computer through the Audible desktop website.
Open the Audible.com.au homepage on your computer's browser and click SHOP AUDIBLE at the top of the page to browse through our selection by category, or use the search bar at the top-right of the page to find your title.

You can shop for, purchase, and listen to audiobooks on your Android device by following these steps:
  1. Click on the Shopping Cart Icon from the My Library screen of the Audible App
  2. Search or browse titles on the Shop Screen
  3. Tap on the title you would like to purchase to play a sample, read details, and see purchase options
If you are experiencing any issues with purchasing your audiobooks, it is highly recommended you update your Audible app to the newest version available in the Google Play Store.

You can shop for, purchase, and listen to audiobooks on your Windows computer directly through the Audible for Windows 10 desktop app, or through the Audible desktop website.
From the app:
  1. Tap or click Search from the left-navigation menu
  2. Enter the name of the author or title you would like to purchase
  3. When you have located the title, click the cover art to play samples, read details, and see purchase options.
  4. Tap or click on of the purchase options to complete your purchase.
You can also purchase titles on your Windows 10 computer through the Audible desktop website by using the Search bar at the top-right of the homepage to locate your audiobook.

Once you have purchased an audiobook, you can download your title to your device from your Library. There are two ways to download your audiobooks on your iOS device:
  1. Open the Audible for iOS app and tap on Cloud at the top of the screen.
  2. Tap the cover art of the title you would like to download to your device.
Or
Visit your Library Page and click the Deliver to: drop down menu next to the title, then select your device.

You can download your audiobooks to your Mac computer in a few easy steps:
  1. Visit your Library Page
    Your Library
  2. Click the Download option to the far-right of the title you would like to download
Your audiobook will be located in the My audiobooks section of iTunes under the Book icon.

You can download all of the audiobooks that you have purchased on Audible.com.au wirelessly from the Library tab on your Audible for Android app:
  1. Open the Audible for Android app on your device
  2. Tap Library from the left-navigation menu

There are a number of reasons that your recently purchased titles may not be showing in your Library on the Audible for iOS app. Try one of the following to troubleshooting steps to restore your audiobooks:
  • Refresh your Library by tapping Refresh at the top-right of the app screen
  • Change or remove any filters on your Library
  • Sign out of your account, confirm you are signed in to the correct Audible marketplace, and sign back in
  • Update your default payment method on your Payment Information page
If your title is still not appearing in your Library after trying the steps above, make sure you have completed your purchase on the Audible desktop site .

If you recently purchased an audiobook to listen to on the Audible App for Windows 10, and it has not shown up in your library, you will need to refresh your library. Please follow the steps below to refresh your Audible library:
  1. Tap or click Settings from the left navigation menu.
  2. Tap or click Help .
  3. Tap or click Full library refresh .
After your library has refreshed, tap or click Library to see your recently purchased audiobook.

If you are experiencing an issue with the Audible for iOS app failing to launch or loading slowly, follow these instructions:
  1. Double tap the Home screen button to bring up a list of recently used apps.
  2. Swipe up on the image of the Audible app to force quit it.
  3. Attempt to launch the Audible app again.
If these steps do not work, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the Audible app. Uninstalling the app will remove any downloaded titles from your app and will also remove any "Finished" tags on your titles.
To uninstall the Audible for iOS app:
  1. Touch and hold the Audible app icon on the Home screen until the icon jiggles, then tap the "X".
  2. Tap on "Delete" to confirm that you want to delete the Audible app and its data. When you finish, press the Home button.
To reinstall the app:
  1. Launch the App Store
  2. Tap on "Search" at the bottom of the screen and search for "Audible".
  3. Tap on the cloud icon to download and install the Audible app again.

If you recently updated to Audible Manager version 5.5.0.8, you may have received the following error message:
There are new AudibleManager components. Would you like to see them now?
To bypass this message and continue using Audible Manager, click No when prompted. The next time you reopen Audible Manager, you will be prompted again to click No .
