Publisher's Summary

As a man, when you decide that you want to express your romantic or sexual desires, interests, and intentions to a woman, how do you go about communicating those desires and interests to her?

Do you communicate your desires and interests to women in a cautious, vague, ambiguous, or "beat around the bush" manner?

Do you avoid approaching women and avoid initiating conversations with women altogether?

Do you regularly cheat on your wife or girlfriend behind her back?

Are you currently filled with so much bitterness, misogyny, and resentment toward women that you have no desire whatsoever to even interact with them?

In the audiobook version of Mode One: Let the Women Know What You're Really Thinking, author and professional dating coach Alan Roger Currie describes and examines what he refers to as the "Four Modes of Verbal Communication".

Currie makes the strong argument in his audiobook that the most effective interpersonal communication style that a man can exhibit with a woman is MODE ONE behavior, which represents when a man expresses his romantic or sexual desires, interests, and intentions to a woman in a manner that is bold, highly self-assured, up front, specific, and straightforwardly honest.

Currie harshly criticizes the idea of men maintaining disingenuous platonic friendships with women (what Currie refers to as "FunClubbin"), and he also points out that many men and women tend to exhibit behavior that is very duplicitous, dishonest, disingenuous, misleading, and manipulative when interacting with members of the opposite sex in today's dating scene.

Currie invites his male listeners to take notes while listening to each and every chapter (preprinted notes are available at modeone.net/journal/).

Warning: Some chapters in the audiobook include explicit language.

full frontal assault on egotistical beliefs. practical and inspiring. I definitely recommend this to those looking to better themselves; in the bedroom and life.

No more lying to myself.

The saying "when the student is ready, the master will appear" has never been more apt, I've spent the last five years since my divorce getting rejected and putting myself in the friend zone by not escalating, I have felt nothing significant by being rejected and I wasn't attracted to the girls I friend zoned myself with.

My ex-wife knew I was a sex crazed Dom that has a mind dirty enough to make God blush but I put on a facade of being the nicest, sweetest, thoughtful human being on planet earth and treated her like a queen, when we got married it only got worse.

While I am that thoughtful human being in non-sexual situations, I'm also a man that imagines every woman I'm sexually attracted to in fun and compromising positions as fast as they present themselves to me, and at 35 I'm sick of denying that part of myself exists.

Mode 1 is who I've been denying I am ever since my year five teacher told me that it was wrong to like the song "baby got back" because it objectified women and was inappropriate for a boy my age, I played that song at my wedding and slapped my ex's butt in front of everyone because deep down it's the man I am and he was fighting to get out.

Look inside and see if that's the case with you, if everything is telling you not to be who you are and that being a promiscuous man is exactly the same as being a promiscuous woman in that it lowers your value, stop lying to yourself and realise the truth.

Tedious and long winded, theoretical rant

I bought this because I bought "Ooooh say it again" and the Author suggested in that book that this one was a suggested prerequisite. Not in my opinion. "Ooooh say it again" is much better and can be taken in on it's own.
