The suspense will keep you on the edge of your seat. Stanley and Jane loved the beach, and travelling. That is until Stanley could not find his wife, Jane, in a foreign country, Venezuela. Swift suggests in his essay that the impoverished Irish might ease their economic troubles by selling children as food. By doing this he mocks the authority of the British officials.
