I love good fantasy and this rates with the best. It has all the intrigue and characters that keeps you living the story yourself.
Fantasy does not always need to have heroes with awesome powers or weapons and this is a brilliant example.

A superior read

This is a different type of story of people transported to a fantasy rpg world. The voice and attitude of main character makes you wish she would die. Stick with it, it gets better. I enjoyed the world and races are thought out especially the way they think. Cheap considering the length

Overall it's a good story, BUT the first 7 chapters are slow and dry. If you can make it through that, it slowly improves over the next 60ish chapters into something great. It is worth it the end, but does feel like a marathon to get to the good parts

I really, really enjoyed this book. I had read the other reviews on here about how it started slowly, and I’d agree with that. However stick with it because it’s well worth it.

The characters are well developed, the storyline is not predictable and the last third of the book was gripping and I couldn’t sleep because I was so engaged in it. The performances are great - again you get used to the main character’s voice and I felt like the other character voices were great.

Without revealing spoilers, it was also an emotional book and there was one part of the book where I was almost in tears and genuinely affected.

Can’t wait to read the next one.
