Such a generous author to put over 40 hours of listening into one book. A meandering but enchanting tale and what a talented narrator too.

Great weaving story lines

One of the gripes I'f had in previous books was the pacing. it was always slow.

The pacing in this book and the previous book was a lot better. This book has some big changes in the writing style. And it was amazing.

Fast when it mattered and slow when it mattered.

so, you get to the end of the book. you've been listening for a while so you don't know it yet. then it happens. bam. it's over. like accidentally eating the last chip without knowing it, then you put your hand back in the bowl and there's nothing there. if you'd have known you would have savoured it. anyway. I regret not having more to listen to. but that's on me. 10/10.

don't know why just really enjoyed the pace of this one. have really enjoyed each story line. especially can't wait for more of the grand mage

Can’t praise this series highly enough. So much has happened since the beginning and so much more to go. The author has incredible imagination and scope to build a complicated world and vast amount of characters and the ability to combine them so well and still keep you guessing. Can’t wait for next in series.
