About this listen
The world is ablaze with great deeds and incredible people.
The King of Duels' battle with the King of Destruction is still ringing across the continent of Chandrar, but more adventures are taking place at sea with Niers' students and on Izril's shores.
The Horns have arrived in Invrisil at last, and they will soon find out that Gold-rankers they might be, that doesn't guarantee instantaneous respect from other high-level teams. However, a certain [Lady] has also begun her final journey...once again, attention and excitement swing back to The Wandering Inn thanks to a certain magic door!
It is a time of fire and men with hats and fantastic moments—and dark ones too, sometimes. However, even the meagerest spark can turn into a roaring flame.
Book 17 of The Wandering Inn contains raiders, assassins, magical flames, hats, and...football? Or is it soccer?

The Good:
The world being built is simply astonishing. Some parts of this world feels like a completely different story at times. There is no metaphorical gray mesh that covers everything and makes it feel the same, instead each and every part ilis unique and feels so different and special. You caanot help but fall in love each and every continent.
The Medium:
Think there are slightly too many 'Down Time' or 'New Stories' that kinda just breaks the flow. however, there was clearly a lot of strings and characters coming together and meeting, it definitely is an improvement on earlier books, and believe it is in the right direction.
The Bad:
Telling, not showimg. We are told the main characters have changed, but I cant name one meaningful way they have changed. Coincidently Relk has a bit. Maybe R has become a bit more happier? But in all the books so far I cant recall one major believe these characters held that have changed. Instead they are static in their believe and the world changes around them - which isnt bad persé, but tell me they have changed.
Experiencing different experiences doesnt mean they have changed. They might have gone through a lot, but nothing really seems different as a result of their changes.
World Building Like No Other

The new voice artist is good, but isn't Andrea which has removed distinct voice recognition. it is like watching a TV series for many years and having the main actors replaced which is immersion breaking. I will also follow up that after a few more books I do not think it will matter because the new voice is still distinct enough for the characters
not like the last book
