• Visionary Vehicles
    Mar 13 2025

Take a deep dive into the evolution of emergency response, from the innovation of using an Ambucycle to get to emergencies faster than ambulances, to the disruptive innovation of United Hatzalah's unique emergency vehicle fleet, each meeting a specific need in the field.

Co-hosts Dovie Maisel, CEO of United Hatzalah Innovation, and Elad Bachar, United Hatzalah Medical Division Director, are joined by Nissan Hefetz, United Hatzalah Medical Supervisor, volunteer physician Dr. Adam Ballin, and Udi Meridor, co-founder and COO at City Transformer.

They discuss the latest developments of United Hatzalah's emergency vehicle fleet, including ALS fly cars that can transport patients, a unique mobile clinic trailer equipped to treat 4 seriously wounded patients at major incidents, an MCRV with enough equipment to treat 50 patients, and a mobile command center, among others.

They also discuss the invention of a brand new vehicle, the City Transformer CT-2, a micro-electric vehicle designed for urban mobility. It's a compact, foldable car with a unique feature that allows it to change its width - it can expand for highway driving and narrow itself for city parking and navigating tight urban spaces, allowing responders to improve their ability to reach scenes quickly. United Hatzalah has partnered with City Transformer, and these unique vehicles will soon be on the streets of Israel to save lives!

    Dec 4 2024

Take a deep dive into the October 7th massacre, Israel's worst emergency.

In this mini-series of eight podcast episodes, co-hosts Dovie Maisel and Elad Bachar will take you minute by minute through that harrowing day, showcasing United Hatzalah's response from the first responders in the field to the commanders at headquarters.

In this eighth and final episode, they are joined by clinical psychologist Dr. Sharon Slater and Deputy Medical Director Avi Marcus. They discuss the mobilization of psychotrauma specialists early on October 7 to guide those in immediate need and then shift their focus to the long-term plan of reaching out to each of the 1,800 volunteers who bravely responded, ensuring they receive the necessary mental health care to prevent PTSD and burnout. They also discuss the deployment of a dedicated psychotrauma team at United Hatzalah's field center in Sde Yoav, which provided a psychotrauma debriefing after each ambulance shift returned to base.

This mini-series is dedicated in memory of those who tragically lost their lives on October 7 and in honor of those brave citizens, police officers, firefighters, medical personnel, and soldiers who left the safety of their homes and put their lives in danger to save their fellow Israelis. Above all, we dedicate this series to the hostages who remain in captivity in Gaza. Bring Them Home!
