About this listen
Take a deep dive into United Hatzalah's international response mission to the 2023 Gaziantep earthquake, where over 53,537 people were killed across Turkey and Syria.
Co-hosts Dovie Maisel and Elad Bachar are once again joined by United Hatzalah's manager of emergency preparedness, Rachel Zubeta. They discussed planning needs, choosing the right volunteers for the mission, groundwork, and prep, and coordination with the IDF and Turkish military while on the ground. They also recount some of the struggles they encountered, and a few of the incredible rescues and lives the mission saved.
