Absolutely loved this one!!! The story is fantastic, characters great as always...there are a few things that should have been picked up in editing...repeats of a phrase, names gotten wrong, that sort of thing. Nothing too bad though. The story is great and I was really happy with the ending. Excited to read more in the series!

another excellent story

DI Nikki Galena is fast becoming one of my favourite characters. This story is well written and the characters are becoming like family the more I read of them. There is just enough personal back story to keep it from becoming too stuffy and official and of course, I never see the twists coming.

Brilliant police procedural

I really enjoy this series of books but several voices in the narration are terrible. So bad that they are headache inducing. It will be a tough decision as to whether I continue or not.

Really enjoying the narration of this series. The narrator can make or break the story!

The best in the series so far!

I love Joy Ellis as a writer and enjoy the Nikki Galen's stories , but the narrator just doesn't do it for me. She has a lovely speaking voice but her accents grate on my ears.

Not the Narrator for me

I have thoroughly enjoyed every other Joy Ellis series to date, but the narrator of this particular series is sooooooo hard to stay tuned to - monotonous, not natural sounding, and not a great mimic of accents at all. I found myself wondering from time to time which character was speaking.

Having downloaded several more books in the series, I'm considering ditching them just because of the narrator - so disappointing.

so hard to listen to!

Narrator was a little difficult to get used to, but once engrossed with the characters very enjoyable.

Enjoyable storyline
