Good solid entry in a great series
I loved this one. I am really enjoying seeing the intracacies of all the different relationships between Dallas, Peabody, Mavis, Nadine and Roarke.

Their First Christmas!
Murder still happened, a nasty sexual murder with the first victim being raped and left with a Turtle Dove and a Message, 'My True Love'. Peabody had to explain the Reference to Lt Eve, as her childhood until she was Eight had been horrendous. Memories now returning in nightmares since her Marriage to Roarke. Finding the killer over the Christmas was difficult, with people coming into New York for their shopping as well.
Lt Eve Dallas was at her wits end as well for what to buy the guy who had everything. The narration is excellent.

Beware of Santa
Rating: 4 stars.
Spice level: some explicit scenes.
Genre(s): crime, romantic suspense.
Overall impression: a fairly unserious novel in the In Death series, where a murderous Santa is killing lonely hearts in the days leading up to Christmas. I wasn't able to guess the killer in time for the big reveal and even after being told, I found it difficult to follow his motivations behind the act. We got to see a new relationships forming between Peabody and McNab, which was a fun change from the dynamic we're used to from Dallas and Roarke. I'm still really enjoying the series and can't wait to read the next book.
