Publisher's Summary

Opening night at New York's New Globe Theater turns from stage scene to crime scene when the leading man is stabbed to death center stage. Now Eve Dallas has a high profile, celebrity homicide on her hands. Not only is she lead detective, she's also a witness - and when the press discovers that her husband owns the theater, there's more media spotlight than either can handle. The only way out is to move fast. Question everyone and everything...and in the meantime, try to tell the difference between the truth - and really good acting.
Crack another case with Eve Dallas.

Eve Dallas is a horrible person!

I’ve read the books and thought that, but to hear her on audible, it really seems to bring home how narcissistic the main character, Eve Dallas is! She’s a real good example of a lot of the worst of the police force, with her nasty arrogance and I really don’t think a man who is supposed to be as intelligent as Roark would A. marry someone after a couple of months with no prenup, or B. stay with someone who is so incredibly needlessly nasty to the man who saved and raised him, another strike against, the main character Eve as it’s treated like some kind of game. Then to top it off everyone around her excuses unacceptable behaviour for… I have no reason why…
