Publisher's Summary

Number 12 is an urban legend in 2060 New York City. The hot club in the 1960s, it is now reported to be haunted...and cursed. Lieutenant Eve Dallas is called there to investigate the apparent murder of Radcliff Hopkins, its new owner and the grandson of the man who made Number 12 a cultural icon. Several bullets from a banned gun end his dream of returning the building to its former glory.

With everyone around her talking about the supernatural, pragmatic Eve won't let rumors of ghosts distract her from hard evidence. The case becomes even more bizarre when it appears to be linked to the suspicious disappearance of a rock star eighty-five years ago. As Eve searches for the connection, logic clashes with the unexplainable. She may be forced to face the threat of something more dangerous than a flesh-and-blood killer.

Crack another case with Eve Dallas.

BOOK REVIEW
Pragmatic Eve and ghosts, what a combination.
Cannot not rate this as five stars due to shortness of story but the story itself deserves five stars.
Wrapped up quickly and very tidily which left little time for a good gripping read but we do get some fun in.
Pragmatic to the core Eve has to deal with the ghost of a murder victim from 85 years ago.
Not the full cast in this book but of those that are, absolutely everyone else involved in this book, including Roarke, believe Number Twelve is haunted. Peabody, being free ager raised, really gets the jeebies.
Even at the end Eve will not admit anything but she does make a promise to thin air, or is it something more???? Maybe next time she will be more open minded.
Had a couple of formatting errors in my new kindle copy.
I have read all of these books twice or more already as I own most in paperback and am slowly collecting the kindle versions too when price is reasonable.
I am rereading this series once more, updating and replacing missing reviews.

Haunted In Death

Good listen. A few frightening moments for Peabody, comical for those listening. Just another great book in the overall series.
