Publisher's Summary

This book contains proven steps and strategies on how to reach your goals and overcome your challenges inside the gym and out.

Excellence is one of those words we use too lightly. Almost nothing is perfect. We look at something we like (perhaps a great work of art), and call it excellence. A pitcher throws a perfect game if no one gets on base, but is that truly excellence? Is there such a thing as the perfect wine to go with a meal? Or a perfect pair of shoes to go with an outfit? To me, the answer is no to all of these. Although individuals work to reach perfection, there is no perfection here.

That said, we should still try to attain excellence. We should do what we can to perfect ourselves in body, mind, and spirit. Also do what we can to chase after freedom and justice, even if we know that both are flawed. However, in our pursuit of excellence, we can become better. As we pursue perfect justice (and sometimes we fail), we come closer and closer to excellence. And in the end, we manage to catch excellence in justice.

Here is a preview of what you'll learn....

  • Reaching for excellence
  • Mental preparation before and during workouts
  • Muscle building
  • Muscle building rules
  • Effective ways to handle criticism
  • How to achieve a balance in your life
  • Living life in the slow lane
  • Much, much more!
