Great Listen!!

I have a library of his books, and this one gives an overview of Buddhism that emphasizes an important point that other Buddhist dissertations sometimes miss, that we live in a world where we can experience suffering and joy

Awesome!!

I'm not done listen yet, because I've been making notes and listen each chapter twice. Buddhism is what I've been missing, and Hahn does not push a particular view but is open about things and writes very well. I would recommend this to anyone interested in Buddhism.

Very Helpful

This just backs up thearies that life is not always easy. You just have to try to look at life in a more positive way and do your best. Think of others, but follow your own path.

Best Book!!

It is a deep, well written book that challenges your perceptions and beliefs about suffering and transforming it into true happiness - without attachment. That is very deep and a difficult concept to grasp but the path of learning that this book offers will help any true seeker find it.

Very Informative!!

Definitely not an easy or light listen, but for those interested in the basics of buddhism, this is a must have. A short book, but one that you need to take your time with. Great, clear explanations and important concepts one needs to consider if serious about the Buddhist path.

Very Informative!!

Buddhism is non-sectarian, non-judgmental and simply elegant in it's basic premise...that life is about suffering and that if we deploy our own minds to fixing the problem, that we in fact can do just that. Unlike so many

Perfect Book!

I used it to do our whole house 15 bags for recycling and 13 for charity and 3 bin bags. My family was supportive and we have found it has given us more time to do things as everything has its place and gets put back.

Very Informative!!

I was both delighted and maddened by this book: delighted by very clear and practical instructions on how to go about de-cluttering, and maddened by the author's approach towards inanimate objects (thanking your handbag for its service, for instance, and allowing it to rest). However, I still give the book five stars because the de-cluttering advice actually works!

Great Info!!

After listen the one star reviews of this book out of morbid curiosity, it seems there are three main complaints people have, and I'd like to address them as the basis of my review:

In the spirit of reconciliation, Audible Australia acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
