Story
The Fiancee - Belinda's life is in free-fall after the sudden death of her fiancé, Andy. But then ghostly signs begin to appear which suggest he might not really be gone. And Belinda begins to tumble even further. Will his final parting gift be enough to save her? The Mother - Evelyn McGavin, Andy's mum, is also struggling. She copes with her sorrow by shoplifting (once), hating Belinda (constantly) and jumping out of a plane. In her skydiving instructor, Baz, she finds an unexpected friend. But why is he so agitated when he hears how Andy died?

Story
It's June 2008 and 21-year-old Adam Lattimer vanishes, presumed dead. The strain of his disappearance breaks his already fragile family. Ten years later, with his mother deceased and siblings scattered across the globe, Adam turns up unannounced at the family home. His siblings return reluctantly to Spanish Cove, but Adam's reappearance poses more questions than answers. The past is a tangled web of deceit. And, as tension builds, it's apparent somebody has planned murderous revenge for the events of 10 years ago.

Publisher's Summary
Three sisters, one birthday, one little problem...
The three Kettle sisters have had a mortifying mishap. Their raucous, champagne-soaked birthday dinner has come to an abrupt end following a violent argument and an emergency dash to the hospital.
So who started it this time? Was it angry, hurt Cat, still recovering from the 'night of the spaghetti'? Was it Lyn, so serenely successful, at least on the outside? Or was it quirky, dreamy Gemma, the sister who can't keep a secret except for the most important one of all?

loved it
loved this book! It was easy and strangely comforting to read. The characters are so honest and flawed, I couldn't help but think it was almost like listening to my own family problems.

Love the writer and the narrator
I always feel like I’m visiting a funny lovely friend when I listen to one of Liane Moriarty’s books. They’re such great stories and Caroline Lee makes them come alive.
This story has so much to offer. Laughs and cries.

My favourite Author does it again. Humour perfectly used to make the sometimes sadness of reality bearable, even enjoyable!

Loved it Eventually
Love this authors work and the narrator also. I just found I had to relisten to eralt chapter's a number of times to keep up with erratic stort line..was however still enjoyable and worth the perseverance. I felt the ending was a little flat and I still don't know why the fork enfed up in Gemma's belly ! I may have to backtrack again to find out.
