About this listen

'Clever, pacey, compulsive' Sunday Mirror

********

One family. One night. Ten years of lies.

It's June 2008 and twenty-one-year-old Adam Lattimer vanishes, presumed dead. The strain of his disappearance breaks his already fragile family.

Ten years later, with his mother deceased and siblings scattered across the globe, Adam turns up unannounced at the family home. His siblings return reluctantly to Spanish Cove, but Adam's reappearance poses more questions than answers. The past is a tangled web of deceit.

And, as tension builds, it's apparent somebody has planned murderous revenge for the events of ten years ago.

One of my absolute favourites of Jo Spain’s novels - kept me guessing right until the end, couldn’t put it down! Add to that narration by Aoife McMahon (one of my all time favourite narrators) this one shouldn’t be missed - would give more than 5 stars if I was allowed :-)

Brilliant, intricately woven mystery - LOVED IT!

My favourite narrator was absolutely brilliant in this story - she had many different characters and it was essential for her to make these characters easily distinguishable as the story is soooooo complicated. Thankfully she made it all understandable and the plot unravelled satisfyingly. I thoroughly enjoyed the writing.

Complicated!

I couldn’t stop listening to this story. It was as an excuse to do a lot of gardening and housework. The plot was well hidden until the end.

Did not enjoy this as much as the authors other books
During the character set ups I nearly gave up
Came together in the end but the ending was weak

Tedious and convoluted

I enjoyed how the story kept unravelling and all the surprises along the way. Couldn't put it down

A bit disappointing as most of the reviews were favourable. I found I got lost between the characters and had to concentrate on who was who (Ryan/Adam). I think I would have given up early on in the book, only that I would've wasted a credit but I managed to get to the end which was uneventful.

Complex

Couldn't stop listening to this Audio. Loved all the characters and the Irish accents. Loved how it jumped from present to past as it made you think who each person was. I thought I knew who the killer was but wouldn't have thought of the plan. Brilliant!!
Thanks to Jo Spain for your wonderful mind and thanks Aoife McMahon for your wonderful voice.

EXCELLENT WHO DUNNIT! AND ONE MIXED UP FAMILY!
