Worth a listen

This is the second piece I've read by the author. It seems to me Morenas is a part of an ever growing group of young guys like Patrick King, Greg Greenway, and others who have spun off the pick up movement. They've adopted the business/lifestyle model and elevated it to help take men (and a hand full of keen women) to the next phase of social evolution.

In this book Morenas is on a path of self discovery and improvement. I imagine the content and writing will continue to improve as he continues to grow as a leader. The interjection of unnecessary swear words to relate to his audience and his strength on certain opinions was a bit dissuasive at times. I appreciate his analogies even if occasionally long winded. The meat of his book is quite good and, perhaps for some, a bit thought provoking as well.

While I don't agree with all the thoughts and beliefs the author puts forward I didn't need to. He kept his personal politics at bay for the most part, which some authors severely struggle with, and there were a number of great take aways I can incorporate into my life. Some of the material acted as good reminders of many things I've let slip away and some was new and fresh. The advice being put forward is, in my opinion, solid. There are a handful of people I would love to hand this book to right now if I thought they would listen. As a young author and leader Morenas shows great potential.

Not impressed

Would you try another book from David De Las Morenas and/or David De Las Morenas?

Not after suffering through this one.

What could David De Las Morenas have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

TELL the story instead of READING the story that is supposedly your own words.

What didn’t you like about David De Las Morenas’s performance?

Quick monotone delivery. He comes across as a young, know-it-all braggart instead of someone who his trying to share lessons with his listeners.

You'll get more from the seven habits of highly effective people

I felt his book approached life from a, "get them before they get you" approach. We've seen enough bad mannered people in life hiding behind a false facade.

Practical lessons for life

This is a very concise and sincere life advice. The author goes straight to the point and tells it as it should be told. His message is based on sounds principles that I have read from other sources.

What I like about this book is, it's not all theory. He helps you identify practical how to face life and live peacefully and enjoy your life.

Thank you for putting this book together.

Keep up the good work - I recognize your talent!

Good job! I am a voracious reader and audible book listener. Few suggestions: #1 Drop the profanity, it diminishes your talent and good suggestions. You obviously want to bring humanity up and help us improve so present your material in this fashion. #2 Hire a professional to read, it will make a world of difference. #3 Decide what kind of book you are doing and who your potential audience will be because you have really good points between the awkward mentioning of your girlfriends, sex etc. You have what it takes - I can see it! I appreciated that you mentioned other sources that have benefited you such as the philosophy of Marcus Aurelius and the like. I have read them too and agree wholeheartedly and it gave your work more credibility because you are obviously passionate and seeking wisdom and wish to lead others to a better life. I truly admire your courage and hard work and look forward to buying more of your books! You have what it takes!

Great Listen

I very much enjoyed listening to this book and would recommend to everyone. The morning ritual is amazing. I normally meditate and read on my commute but have added the writing part. You should too.

What a waste of time

If I could give it zero stars I would have. A lazy, badly written ebook - plus this kid is annoying. He sounds like a philosophy and business student who decided to cash in on the self help movement. Totally full of himself - I couldn't get through the intro without skipping ahead to the book. Ugh.

fantastic book

excellent book with great Insights I have listened to it several times the fact that it is David himself narrating the book gives it a more intimate authentic feel. the examples given in the book have helped me to put the strategies into practice in my own life and start to conquer everyday stresses and worries which has been invaluable in living a more relaxed stress free life. many thanks to the author I look forward to his future work.

Life Changing!!!

Real, down to Earth and by far so far the best book I have read. Action must be taken for it work. I have no negatives to give David other then to keep up the great work.

A key thing I liked about the way this audible is written is that it gets straight to the point and covers all the required points and is really inspirational for those who are ready to take action and want straight advice on what action to take to be happy in life and successful and even take action throughout life with confidence.

Helpful

If you could sum up Calm, Cool, Collected: How to Demolish Stress, Master Anxiety, and Live Your Life in three words, what would they be?

Makes you take a step back and get some perspective, helped me calm down from a stressful situation.
