About this listen

Something's wild out west....

When a badly burned body is found near the remote Ardnamurchan Lighthouse on the west coast of Scotland, it feels like just another day on the job for DCI Jack Logan and his team.

But the victim’s list of enemies, including a diminutive loan shark and a powerful local politician, is far longer than Jack was prepared for.

And don’t even get him started on the magic psychic sex cult.

With political scandal brewing, conspiracy theories running wild, and a team member stuck inside a giant road safety squirrel costume, DCI Logan’s latest case might just be his most bizarre to date.

Come Hell or High Water is the 13th book in the multi-million selling DCI Logan Scottish Crime Fiction series. Packed with action, pathos, and dark humor, the series is perfect for fans of Ian Rankin, Val McDermid, and Stuart MacBride."

I have absolutely enjoyed this series. I love how the characters develop and the humour is laugh out loud at times, without lessening, making light of, or spoiling the storyline. I'm really looking forward to City of Scars being available on audio.

Great series

Jack and the team are back! More fabulous narration from Angus King and a good solid story line with a nice twist I didn’t see coming. Also now has me trying not to google new pot noodle flavours …! Can’t wait for the next one.

The growing relationship between Shona and Logan is roaring along beautifully and, well, Neesh is still an utter pain in the butt.

What a great read: this one had everything, and I nearly cried! Twice!!

Enjoyed the story just seemed to take a while to get into it and so much detail. Logan not always a likeable character but some enjoyable humour lightens the story

A good listen, eventually.
