Leveling Up the World

After his first college party, Dallion wakes up alone in a small medieval village in the middle of nowhere. First, he needs to figure out where he is and how to survive a mysterious world filled with magic and monsters. Then, he must uncover the secrets of being 'awakened,' which is apparently what he is. Objects in this new world are sentient, allowing the 'awakened' to mend or upgrade them by traveling into any object's unique realm and defeating the guardians that lie within.

After his first college party, Dallion wakes up alone in a small medieval village in the middle of nowhere. First, he needs to figure out his where he is and how to survive a mysterious world filled with magic and monsters.

After defeating the village chief, Dallion finally ventures to the city of Nerosal filled with thousands of awakened, not all of them human. His new goals are the same many small-town awakened share: Fit in, join a guild, make a name for himself.

Dallion thought that his successful encounter with the star would grant him calm, respect, and the luxury of leveling up at his leisure. He couldn’t have been more wrong. Juggling between surprise visits from old friends, new guild responsibilities, and the preliminary trials for the glorious Festival Tournament, Dallion gets caught up in dealings with Nerosal’s awakened criminal underground.

Star cultists and chainlings have infiltrated the city, mixing with the hundreds of awakened who have come to take part in the grand tournament in the hopes of being noticed by the region’s Countess. Dallion’s life is split between fighting in the tournament and exploring the world item of his Guild. Soon, he finds out that the two are connected and might contain answers not only to the world’s past but one of his item guardians as well. Dallion must use everything he’s learned to unlock the world item’s secrets and top the Star in a race that holds the fate of Nerosal in the balance.

Having obtained the ability to talk to any and all items and area guardians, Dallion has traded the bustle of the city for the calm of the wilderness. Guided by Jiroh and her squad of elite hunters, Dallion roams the wilderness, exploring ruins and fighting monsters too powerful for others. But he soon discovers that Jiroh has a mission of her own—one he didn’t see coming. And she isn’t alone...
