About this listen

He was a Hero. Now he's not. He'll stop at nothing to rise to the top again.

Max was murdered, but now he is mostly over it. Living on earth as a recent college graduate, he can still perfectly recall his past life on the fantasy world of Albion before that. He'd been hailed as the "Hero of the World" after crawling his way up from poverty, eventually enjoying great fame and luxury.

But on mana-starved Earth, he's just a guy.

However, when Earth is suddenly attacked, changing the natural laws of the world and threatening all life on the planet, Max will get a new opportunity to regain some of his lost power...and then some. He discovers an entire system of multi-dimensional colleges created for those gifted with a Path.

The universe is much larger than Max had even known ever during his first life. Max is not the Hero of Albion anymore, but the drive to excel is still part of his nature. And the more power he has, the easier it should be to save his world.

...Right?

Interesting book, its worth getting, there isn't a lot of decent book out there and this one has made me laugh a few times, listened to this in less than 2 days.

a solid intro to the litrpg world which doesn't relie on a whining teen with d & d experience to save the day. great story.and read well. I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

I am currently up to Chapter 20, as of writing this review this book has 24 reviews with an average of 4.7 stars. How it has such a high rating baffles me. Nothing is ever explained in detail or even expanded upon, just vague and generic descriptions for everything. The academy part is the most frustrating because having some clarity or even better descriptions for stuff would help people understand what is going on. I have spent more time trying to figure out what is happening in any given situation than actually being immersed in the story.

Waste of money and time
