Max was murdered, but now he is mostly over it. Living on earth as a recent college graduate, he can still perfectly recall his past life on Albion, a sword and sorcery world. The first book was promising, this was a disappointment. I wouldn't be getting the next book because it's that bad...

This one is pretty boring, really hard to finish

It gets a bit painful as to how verbose the MC gets a bit extortion heavy when making deals. Well played, but painful when someone feels the need to stop everything before progressing.

The best parts fly quickly by.

Then about midway it slows a bit and smooths out towards the end. Can't wait for The Third.
