My name is Amanda Harper and I am a paranormal detective with the Blue Moon Investigation Agency. As of today, that is, and my first case is at the local shopping mall where terrified shoppers hysterically claim a ghost attacked them in the elevators. Not just one elevator – all of them.

In the brooding, dark landscape of England, with its rolling hills and forgotten castles, the dark breeds evil in every shadow. Well, almost every shadow. Some of them have stupid in them instead.

There might be no such thing as werewolves, vampires or ghosts but apparently, evil Klowns are real. Tempest Michaels is once again investigating ridiculous cases that are clearly not even slightly paranormal in nature. However, his daily menu of fun is interrupted by a plague of men dressed in garish outfits. They wear twisted clown make-up as they terrorise the Kent towns and villages with ever escalating and more frequent attacks.

Gold coins from a centuries-old sunken treasure ship have been found on the beach in Cawsand. This would be no cause for Tempest Michaels to take notice, but a man murdered by the ghost of a dead pirate come to claim back the gold? That ticks all his boxes.

Tempest Michaels is back! His office burned down, his love life is a joke and he's convinced he's getting fat. It's the perfect time for a new case then! The client is the son of a man who was killed in a freak accident — struck by lightning. That doesn't sound very paranormal until you learn that he was inside his house when it happened and his heart exploded from his chest. There are eldritch runes drawn on the victim’s house and his wife, together with several of her friends, has been seen colluding with a mysterious old crone.

The team has grown to three, but the workload isn’t getting any smaller. With reports of Hell’s Angel's werewolves, dead relatives returning to haunt their loved ones, unspeakable aberrations hiding in the shadows, and the unwanted attention of a macabre serial killer, the team at Blue Moon Investigations is in even more trouble than usual.

What lurks in the shadows at the Royal Navy Historic Dockyard? Is it something evil and malignant? Will it suck at your soul? No, because it will be some idiot in a costume, same as always. Tempest Michaels is going undercover with best friend Big Ben to find out why his Dad was found unconscious and stuffed into a wheelie bin. There is no client this time, just a definite need to find someone worthy of a jolly good punch in the pants.

When he is called to investigate a Yeti attack in the French Alps, Tempest Michaels is certain it will just be another fool in a costume - He’s going to solve the case in five minutes and spend a few days skiing. Yay! Guess again. The mountain, the locals, and above all, the Yeti, have other plans in mind. With the Dachshunds doing their best to avoid the cold and Big Ben distracted by the abundant snow bunnies on offer, Tempest is in for a tougher test than he expected.
