Welcome to The Slaughtered Lamb Bookstore and Bar. I'm Sam Quinn, the werewolf book nerd in charge. I run my business by one simple rule: Everyone needs a good book and a stiff drink, be they vampire, wicche, demon, or fae. No wolves, though. Ever.

I serve the supernatural community of San Francisco. We've been having some problems lately. Okay, I'm the one with the problems. The broken body of a female werewolf washed up on my doorstep. A story of a survivor who triumphs over her own circumstances and personal demons, then goes on to kick butt and find love. Fantastic story, looking forward to book 2.

Went in blind and thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Fun and interesting characters, fast paced and action filled. Great narration.

I really enjoyed the touches of light-handed sarcasm and familial comedy between the characters, which was surprising considering the story contains some very dark themes. The personal growth of Sam, and her budding relationships both with Clive and her friendship circle sweet but at times a little vague. The narrator did a great job and I look forward to continuing the series.

Strong woman who didn't let what happened to her keep her down. Kept moving fast enough to keep my interest. We'll written and the whole series is binge worthy.

I love Urban Fantasy but I am cursed by being super picky with what I like. Once I've listened to the best in the genre I struggle with listening to the rest. Then I discovered this gem and Oh wow what a treat! It has everything you would expect from standard UF all the troups are there, woven together by a master story teller. Seana pulls you in and takes you on an emotional journey with these characters who come off as both real and relatable with a deliciouly black sence of humor. This is all helped along by a stunning narration that perfectly captures the tone of the book. A must read for any UF fan!
