Big City is supposedly the place where dreams come true. As someone just trying to live my life, I can tell you it’s more like a recurring nightmare where dreams get c*ckblocked at every turn. Especially if you’re a supervillain like me. The irony is that I have zero powers, despite coming from purebred villain stock, but try telling that to Big City’s beloved hero, Captain Masculine.

It's time for me to start pulling my weight in the Suarez clan—to prove I'm worth more than the plays I make on the field or the dirt I dig up on rival families. I want to make Wolfy proud. And to not get unalived by Simon. So I volunteered what I had to offer, knowing my infamous genes could be used for uniting two powerful clans in marriage. After all, I'm the only not gay one in my family, so that alone should entice the super-babes looking to get busy with baby-making. I mean, as long as they don't ask me to do math or anything.

What's a superhero to do when his own family sees his powers as unimpressive and he's fifth in line for the throne? Set my sights on getting space married to a hot alien, of course! For science. Ziggy Andromeda is a skinsuit-stealing mercenary who's so far out of my league, he might as well be in another galaxy, but there's nothing I love more than a challenge. And his spaceship has only one bed! Unfortunately, a home planet conspiracy is threatening our besties-with-benefits situationship, along with my dream of putting a Saturn-sized ring on it and locking Ziggy down for good. Rude.

When an international job opportunity arises, I jump on board. It's just a bonus that I'll be traveling with the epitome of tall, dark, and handsome. Make that muscular, morally gray, and hopefully, my next conquest.

When I had nothing left to lose, I traveled to the hut in the woods, where no one dared approach. The witch who lived there recognized the darkness in my soul and took me under her wing to witness her reign of terror firsthand, and eventually, to inherit her legacy as my own. Now, I’m the monster they fear, the one humans avoid at all costs. In this welcome isolation, I've attempted to forget my past and the future that was taken from me. Until three men appear, somehow able to break through my protective wards and see me in my true form.

I thought I was living the dream—until the fateful day I found my boyfriend in bed with my boss. As a professional copywriter, it was the tired cliche that hurt me the most. What’s a big city girl to do but pack my bags and go solo on that Grecian cruise I’d booked with my ex? When I embarked on my rebound rodeo cruise, the last place I expected to end up was on hot-bod monster island. Not that I’m complaining. The views are fantastic, and the impressive amenities offered by my hosts have made it easy to come back for more. 10/10 would recommend. I’m starting to think there’s some truth to this whole mate-bond thing—if the murderous rage I feel whenever anyone threatens what’s mine is any indication.

Officially burned out, I decided to extend my business trip to Stockholm by two weeks—determined to forget my troubles by stuffing my face with Swedish meatballs. And I'm not just talking about the food. When I meet the sexiest meatball right out of the gate, I think the tides are finally turning in my favor. Too bad my prophetic visions failed me once again. Now I'm the one on hot-bod monster island, but instead of being chained to the bed for fun, it's more a hostage situation. I can still work with that.

The only reason I hadn’t reduced these humans to ribbons of severed flesh was that there was information to uncover, and a swan shifter to find...hopefully alive.
