• The Devouring Mother
    Jan 9 2025

Jaguar Heart - Coach and Teacher, helps free people from their subconscious conflicts of the mind. Do you have repeating endless cycles you can’t break? Don’t we all. But Jag is your guy if you really want to break through and dissolve them, and truly get to the root cause of your conditioning / programming. You’ll have to be brave, this work isn’t for the faint-hearted but it will most certainly change your life. He’s direct and for good reason, he has a passion for supporting healing and change on a wide scale.

In this second episode and conversation together on The Shared Road Podcast, we discuss the Devouring Mother archetype and the qualities of healthy relationships moving forward. For some, it may stretch and press on discomfort within, or for others provide some language and illumination around what you have been longing to articulate but couldn’t find the words. It could go either way, and all I ask is that you remain open, as Jag and I speak on territory that could make some very uncomfortable (regarding suicide in relation to abusive partners and mothers) and perhaps touch on your own wounds in ways that you hadn’t ever considered. This conversation had the permission to speak of others stories, and of what we felt called to address, through the lense of our collective and individual experience with life. I hope that you understand for both of us, we have these controversial & tender conversations because we feel there is the need, for those who are seeking support through the lense of both compassion and fierce truth - of course our truth, yet maybe it resonates for you too.

  • The Empath’s Way
    Jul 26 2024

Alexa shares her story of a relationship she never thought would happen to her. In 2020, during the Covid lockdown in Los Angeles, she joined dating apps, looking to connect with new people. She recounts how her first abusive relationship took her completely by surprise. Her partner became extremely jealous, a behavior she initially confused with being protective. This jealousy escalated into extreme emotional outbursts followed by periods of love-bombing, creating a toxic cycle. Alexa describes how she learned to de-escalate frightening situations, including instances of physical harm.

Throughout this complex time, I admire how Alexa holds herself with such strength and grace. Her intuitive wisdom played a crucial role in ensuring her safety and developing an exit strategy. Alexa shares important insights during our conversation, and I hope her story helps you or someone you know navigate similar challenges.

  • Jaguar Heart on Narcissistic parents, core traits, abuse cycles & programs of the mind.
    Mar 3 2023

Jaguar Heart, Holistic Therapist, shares his wisdom & lived experience around being raised by two narcissistic parents and the importance and what it takes to break free from a toxic family for Self, and his future family. The timing of this podcast recording fell just 1 day after the passing of his father which he shares in an open, vulnerable and honourable way amongst the natural grief.

Jag also shares an insight into his highly effective work as a Holistic Therapist - working with language/vibration to heal the deep programs of the mind (our deepest fears), how our subconscious and ego runs with the reactions/behaviours to these which then becoming the operating system that drives us as humans. He speaks to understanding how if we don’t resolve these deeper programs & wounds, this results in destructive behaviours and therefore suffering through repetitious cycles/patterns in our life.

He speaks about where narcissistic behaviour / trauma begins and his personal story, being raised by a covert narcissistic father and grandiose narcissistic mother, and the cruelty that comes with that experience.

I personally had many moments in this conversation where I felt my experience was validated through someone who understands the complex nature of this topic. So much of this healing journey is hearing or having these conversations, because unless you have had a direct experience, it’s very difficult feeling truly understood by another who hasn’t journey these roads. • Spiritual Bypassing, trauma-informed mentoring and the non-linear healing journey with Rachael Sardelich.
    Dec 1 2022

Rachael Sardelich, Vedic meditation Teacher, Creative Mentor & Somatic Practitioner.

Rach discusses how her own trauma led her to becoming a multi-modality trauma-informed practitioner.

Rach and I discuss on this episode the concept of spiritual bypassing, “keeping the peace” during toxic relationships and the importance of being trauma-informed to support other through these situations, particularly when working with people who have experienced abuse. We also touch on connection to Self, and how when gaslighting occurs we can lose our sense of agency. There is so much more we could have shared, however we hope this discussion helps support you in some way as we bring awareness to this concept through our lense.

The term ‘spiritual bypassing’ was introduced by buddhist teacher and psychotherapist John Welwood in the 1980’s and speaks to examples of people using spiritual practices to avoid healing unresolved traumas.

We also speak to our mutual love of Gabor Mate’s (expert and world renowned physician / trauma & addiction therapist) Compassionate Inquiry work and how he describes trauma.

We would welcome any questions around this subject and happy to dive deeper with you if you would like to reach out.

Rach is highly attuned to supporting and empowering others to nurture their creative inner lives and embody their highest expression. Her approach is multi-disciplinary and informed by Vedic philosophy, modern neuroscience, somatic trauma healing and a deep understanding of working alongside artists and creative professionals.
