In 1962, Mike Burton was commissioned in the US Air Force.  Stationed in Thailand, he worked in intelligence and was heavily involved in the conflict across the border in Laos. 

These days, he serves on the board of directors for Legacies of War, an organization working hard to not just raise awareness, but help find solutions to clear unexploded ordnance in Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.

Eric Wartenweiler Smith is a research vessel captain and scientific diver who likes to share his excitement for scientific exploration, and the creative processes that drive and inspire many explorers.
