  • Branding Is Much More Than A Logo
    Jun 13 2022

Welcome to More Than A Brand! I’m here to help entrepreneurs in the DEI space demystify the process behind what a brand really is.

During my military career, I have run into a lot of misogyny and inequity, among other things. I was told that higher ranking women go into admin because they get fat, pregnant, and less competitive. EXCUSE ME. I proved him wrong, by the way.

If those things are happening in the military, they’re definitely happening in the civilian sector too. That’s why it’s my mission to help DEI coaches and consultants rebrand so that they can show up as their most authentic selves in corporate spaces that don’t have a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.

  • The Foundational Work of Branding: Going Beyond Visuals
    Jun 13 2022

A lot of times people think that branding is just the cute, visual stuff for your business. There’s a lot more to it. What’s your brand voice? What’s the client journey like? What is your framework? Then the visuals are the whipped cream on top.

Don't forget - 95% of purchases are emotional. For people to buy from you, they need to feel emotionally connected to you. How do you do that? With your foundational branding work.

    Why do you need this?

    • 95% of purchasing decisions are emotional
    • Up to 20% increase in revenue when people see brand consistency
    • We need YOU as a DEI organization to step into corporate spaces and make change
    • Having a cohesive brand makes you look like you know what you’re talking about

  • Breaking Free from Cookie Cutter Brands
    Jun 13 2022

Having your brand crafted to represent you authentically positions you to be in those spaces that need you most. Big corporations like to do business with people who know what they’re talking about. Having a cohesive brand gets your foot in the door and makes you look professional.

    However, professional doesn’t equal boring.

Phase 1 of our branding framework is removing the facade.

    • We make sure that your values and your voice are aligned with who you are so that when you send your proposal up to that corporation, they know exactly what they’re getting.
    • We do important background work on your competitors

Why can’t you and your company redefine what success looks like? Rebranding is about becoming who you are meant to be and making sure that your business is aligned authentically with what you represent and who you are.

  • Creating a Strong Brand: The Role of a Website
    Jun 13 2022

Selling from social media is great and all, but remember what happened when FB and IG shut down? What are you going to do when/if that happens again? What happens if social media shuts down entirely and you lose all of your contacts, brand copy, sales conversations, and online presence?

You need to own a piece of the internet. You need the data that a website can give you and the legitimacy that a well-designed website provides when potential clients look you up. And they will look you up.

The corporations that you’re pitching to want to be able to see how you handle yourself in the online space and they expect professionalism. They want to verify who you are and what you do.

You need a website, and it needs to continuously improve in the same way that your brand and client journey do. You need that 24/7 employee to work for you, not against you!

  • The 3-Phase Bonafide Framework
    Jun 13 2022

We’re here to help you in the DEI spaces to show up authentically at these corporations so that you are able to fight for the rights of others to be able to show up as themselves. That’s why we’ve developed the Bonafide Framework.

In Phase 1, we Remove The Façade. We solidify your brand and your values and do competitor research to find where you can stand out. We dig into your target audience because if you’re selling to everybody, you’re selling to nobody.

In Phase 2, we Work The Crowd. We create the visuals that get the crowd worked up as they’re standing on your website, on your social media, on your pamphlets. When people like what they see, they’ll be enticed.

In Phase 3, Curb Appeal, we build the website and pull it all together. We create the curb appeal so people are willing to knock on your door to get your help.

We’re here to help you step into those corporate spaces by building a brand that’s more than a brand. It encompasses everything you stand for, everything you’ve built your business on, and your goals.

Choosing not to fix your brand is choosing not to be there to help those people that need it by changing the culture in those corporate spaces.

  • Creating An Authentic Brand Is Savvy Business
    Jun 13 2022

By the year 2044, groups now seen as the minority will be seen as the majority. Why shouldn’t they have the opportunity to be successful now?

Businesses have to have some sort of DEI statement in place. If your brand isn’t ready for you to step up and help them, you’re doing yourself, and everyone else, a disservice. Sticking with your DIY brand is costing you time, money, and the opportunity to be effective in these corporate spaces.

The work we do is bigger than us and it’s bigger than a brand. You have to be bold because you’re going to be stepping into spaces where most people probably don’t look like you and they don’t understand the importance of why you’re there. You can’t do your work halfway.

It’s time to step into the big leagues and start treating your business with respect it deserves and transform it into the powerhouse that you are destined to be.
