  • ‘Ask what not why’ - Aidan Scotte
    Sep 6 2020
A surprise podcast for you all where I’m joined by my good friend Aidan Scotte. We detail the psychological aspects of both our crafts and the road the blocks we have both come to on our journeys. Strategic and analytical thinking is what we both believe to be key to enhancing your mental clarity and how habit and routine aids in your own personal journey to success (whatever that means to you). Also during this podcast we touch on what is going on in the MMA world and how the mental strength of fighters should be admired and even reciprocated in some way. We hope you enjoy this one

  • ‘The Bank of experience’ - Matt (Gaffer) Barrett
    Jul 25 2020
On this episode I am joined by Kingsteignton football clubs manager and founder/ceo of mentality clothing Matt Barrett AKA Gaffer. With lifelong struggles and tragic events Matt has shown resilience and shown that you really can come out on top. Matt has struggled the majority of his years and after the loss of one his dear friends to suicide he took it upon himself to better his life, and in turn has now started his very own business. We talk a lot about mental health and what can be done to help better struggles and what it takes to have a truly strong mentality. Was a pleasure to speak with Gaffer and there are plans to have many more conversations with the Rams boss.

  • Craig Knight & Ross Harbron
    Jun 17 2020
In this episode I am joined by two of my good friends Craig and Ross. Craig is also my strength and conditioning coach so of course he laid out some knowledge about nutrition, strength & conditioning and general fitness. We also spoke about his time playing American football, a high explosive and fast paced sport. Ross on the other hand is a training partner of mine at premier kickboxing so we had some in depth discussion about our training and the people we train with at the gym. As we are both preparing for fights on the same show, and Craig being both our S&C coach, we had a lot to speak about when it comes to preparing for October. We also touched on more mental health strategies and how people can begin to build a healthier mind. The best part is this conversation is that it’s between friends so it’s light hearted and comical in parts. Hope you enjoy!

  • Toby ‘The War Dog’ Bindon
    Jun 16 2020
In this episode I am joined by BKB (bare knuckle boxing), world lethwei athlete and the WBC English Muay Thai champion Toby Bindon. During the episode Toby talks at length on the process behind his signing to both BKB and WLC. We talk boxing and MMA politics and the difference between their promotions and bare knuckle boxing, ultimately swaying Toby into the direction of the brutal bare knuckle combat sport. Not only do we talk about his progression as fighter and an elite athlete, but we also discuss how the fighting mentality can be used in everyday life. Motivational, to say the least, as Toby outlined what keeps him going in such a difficult career path and what others can do to better they’re everyday life. This is a must listen for anyone who may be struggling to motivate themselves and also for those hardcore fight fans who just want an insight into the mind of a true champion. I would like to apologise for any connection issues during this episode, due to coronavirus we had to make do with a WiFi recorded discussion. This will be fixed ready for episode 2 and we will most definitely be talking to Toby again in the near future.
