Publisher's Summary

Beast. Creature. Monster. Dangerous.

All of these things have been said about Gren. Willa doesn't believe it, though. She knows that monsters can sometimes come in appealing packages. She knows that for all of his snarls and fearsome appearance, he'd never hurt her. And she knows she has to get Gren away from the Icehome camp, because no one will ever see him as a person, not when he attacks all who come close. Not when he's tied and treated like an animal.

She's going to save him...or fall in love. Maybe both. Willa doesn't mind that he's a beast, as long as he's her beast.

Contains mature themes.

Perfect narrators

I love the narrators Ms Dixon chooses, they bring the characters to life perfectly. I particularly like the growly, threatening type male voice which suits the character perfectly

***A beautiful Beast***

I know lots of people disliked Willa because of her over protectiveness and paranoia regarding how Gren was treated and I can't blame them but I find that Willa is one of the sweetest, caring and loyal girl ever and Gren omg his just adorable no wonder Aaila calls him her kitty lol. Both narrator's did an excellent job portraying Gren and Willa, I love the southern drawl.

A Tender Love Story

As Southerner, I was tickled with the characterization of Willa. I really enjoyed thier love story of Willa and Gren. I hope will have more and I am very curious what their "Kit" will be since, Gren is a hybrid of so many. Bless his heart! Bye Y'all!

Willa and Gren

Such a wonderful story. Loved the way Willa fought to save Gren. He was a very likable character. Loved the narrators, especially Grens voice. It was tragic, funny at times and a steamy romantic story. Highly recommend.

Willa and Gren

Ruby Dixon is one of my favorite authors. I love Willa and Gren's story. Gren was thought to be a beast because of his behaviour but there was a good reason for it. He learns to trust Willa. She was the only one to defend and try to reach out to him. The story only grows from there. Some of the previous characters make an appearance. The narrators were great and I especially love Sean Crisden.

Meh

Wilma was really annoying overly possessive and insecure. After a while Wila uses Grin’s past to hide behind instead addressing her own trust issues. She is illogically I trust worthy, a user of peoples kindness but yet believes she’s better then the people in the tribe. She isn’t forgiving and doesn’t let go of what happened to Frin after a while it’s just really frustrating. Going to to return this book because I wouldn’t read this again. Wila’s character was such a pessimist and it got on my nerves.

Willa is self righteous and I hate it

At the beginning of the story I liked Willa because she had so much compassion for Gren. As the story went along I really liked Gren and couldn't stand Willa. She said she believed people based on actions and that didn't seem to be the case. The people of the village did so much to help them and never once tried to take her from Gren, but she was still so distrustful for no damn reason. I had to skip through so much because of her bs. I usually read each of the Icehome/Barbarian books multiple times, but I cannot with this one.

I wish Willa didn't have that southern accent. I seemed like it is too much

Super funny and sweet

I love this book! The audio version is amazing- Both voice actors do a fantastic job “becoming” the different characters. Willa is a sweet southern lady who grew up with crappy people- the kind that beat dogs and use her. So when she see’s a big snarling human-like beast man being bound and kept under guard away from the others, she makes the choice to befriend him. The ugly creature is a genetically chopped together gladiator, who just doesn’t understand that he is free from owners and thinks he must fight, which makes it unsafe for the rest of the Ice Home crew. The story is full of laughs, sweetness, adventure, excitement, and, of course, love and resonance. This is my favorite Ice Home stories!

Great

Great job, I’ve read the written book. This was really so well done, and added such a different element to the story, to hear their emotions. Thank you.

Another good book

I love all of Ruby Dixon’s books and I appreciate that even when I can’t stand a character the story is still good enough to keep my interest. I really really don’t like Wills AT ALL. I love Gren though. I have a hard time with users and self righteous people and to me that’s pretty much Willa in a nutshell. I love reading about Gren though and wish we had more of the story from his perspective. The narrators do am awesome job.
