Publisher's Summary

It's hard to make friends with the other women at the Icehome camp when you'd rather be dissecting the local fauna. Which is why I'm surprised when one of the big, brawny islanders asks me to help him make a prosthetic leg. I don't know N'dek, but since I'm a scientist, he wants my help. And while I'm more into dinosaurs than anatomy, I love a challenge.

As we work together, I come to see that N'dek's not just clever and determined, he's also protective and sweet. And he kisses like a fiend.

He's a distraction I don't need...but he might be everything I've ever wanted. Too bad he says he's going to resonate to someone else.

Contains mature themes.

***Oh to have such a distraction***

This is one of my favourite from the ice home novel because I love N'dek I feel for him and understands why he acts and feels the way he does. Devi she is sweet, smart and naivè in so many ways. The narratives are both excellent thank you Sean and Felicity x

Great Story

This is my favorite book in series so far. It was hilarious. Filled with humor, love and romance, and drama. Both of the main characters were funny. The narrators did a great job. Really enjoyed and recommend!

Ruby Dixon makes the Ice Planet sizzle!

I absolutely adore getting lost in the worlds Ruby Dixon has created, as a single gal these books allow me to meet the men of my dreams...in the safest way possible!!! If you like romance and adventure, along with vivid imagery and a bit of sexy naughtiness to boot Ruby Dixon is an author you will enjoy!

Love this match up

This is why Ruby Dixon is a great author - I never would have put these two characters together but it was just perfect. I loved the story, the humor, the drama and how each character accepts the other as is with all their quirks. I was not crazy about the narrator and think I'll have to switch to reading these instead of the audible version. The accents are awful and detract from the story in my mind. They make the males sound like caveman/Russian thugs and the women sound like the old valley girl accents. I don't think she's a bad narrator, but the alien genre is not her forte. I think I'd like her more if it was a contemporary romance without all the accents. I miss the narrators from the original series, they were so much better with this genre and made each person an individual without making them seem so flat.

Devi and N’dek.

This one was one of my more favored books from the series. I really like Devi and N’dek. I love the interaction between the two. Devi is such a nerd (girl after my own heart) and N’dek learns to live again. Narrators are great. I look forward to more from this series.

Dissecting Love

I love this book and the quirky Devi. Devi is such a unique person, not afraid of being who she is. N'Dek loves that Devi treats him like anyone else and doesn't see just his disability. They are a perfect pair!

Fun

This was a fun book. The storyline was good. Now, I know we're mostly here for the sexy blue aliens but the stereotypes of the earth females can be borderline insulting. Everything from the smart Indian girl, street wise black girls and ditzy blondes. Come on Ruby....

Entertainment

It was just as entertaining as the other books in this series. I really enjoyed that the female was smart. I wanted a little more angst but it’s OK that there wasn’t any.

Love it

I loved Devi and N’Dek. While all of Ruby Dixon’s books are amazing I can always relate to her awkward characters more. I liked the narration the male narrator pronounced some of the names differently than I’m used to and it took a second to figure out who he was talking about. Nevertheless I highly recommend anything Ms. Dixon puts out.

Listen to these narrators!

This Ruby Dixon story, Devi's Distraction, is a chapter in an ongoing series about human women and the blue barbarians who love them passionately.
This author is one of the most talented I've read. The wonderful thing about Ruby's books is that every new story in the series is honestly just as great or better than the ones prior. Devi's Distraction comes from an original perspective on living on Icehome that I recommended to my friends and family in love with Ruby Dixon books.
Devi is a scientist that everyone thinks is weird. She chooses to focus her powerful intellect on excitedly discovering everything she can on this new world.
N'Dek is one of the islanders with four arms from the Strong Arm clan. Recently recovered from losing the lower part of his leg, he is wallowing in self pity until he talks to Devi. Having her treat him like a normal male helps him rediscover his confidence.
This story has been one of my favorites since first published on Kindle and I love, love, these narrators! Sean Chrisden has the low, growly voice for N'Dek that's so sexy and perfect! Felicity Monroe's performance of Devi and her distracted, excited and fast speech was so wonderful! Just an awesome listen, all the way!
