Publisher's Summary

“No killing Goblins.”

So reads the sign outside of the Wandering Inn, a small building run by a young woman named Erin Solstice. She serves pasta with sausage, blue fruit juice, and dead acid flies on request. And she comes from another world. Ours.

It’s a bad day when Erin finds herself transported to a fantastical world and nearly gets eaten by a Dragon. She doesn’t belong in a place where monster attacks are a fact of life and where humans are one species among many. But she must adapt to her new life - or die.

In a dangerous world where magic is real and people can level up and gain classes, Erin Solstice must battle somewhat evil Goblins, deadly Rock Crabs, and hungry [Necromancers]. She is no warrior, no mage. Erin Solstice runs an inn.

She’s an [Innkeeper].

Audible said headings were optional, that is false

I need Volume 3 yesterday. Volume 2 of The Wandering Inn really does well at setting the stage for things to come and I can't wait. Voice acting as usual is superb, Erin's voice is a grating but the plethora of other voices fielded more than make up for it.

Too much repetitive, over explanation

love it and hate it, but need more

61 hours, you are not going to get cheaper or more captivating entertainment. There are parts that irritated and annoyed, but the book is enthralling and I am hanging out waiting for the next. Andrea was excellent, but the first 10 minutes of this book should have been edited out.

Amazing second addition into The Wandering Inn

I've been reading this story for years now and was only just told it was out in Audio book form as well I had to have it. Downloaded book one and loved the narrator's voices and acting, so I just had to get V2 and start tearing through it as soon as I could. 100% worth the price or your Audible token!

Should have been a five star but...

Earth politics broke the immersion. Hoping the next ones avoid this. Andrea gets 5 stars.

60+ hours just flew bye!

I loved basically everything about this book! The side stories were awesome, the characters are beautifully and consistently flawed, the arcs are exciting, the world is delightfully complex, and the narration is superb. Normally with a book nearly this long, I would have to stop in the middle and listen to something else for a while, but not with this one. My one complaint might be that the cyclical storytelling from multiple perspectives was a little confusing at times because the time spans of the perspectives can be wildly varied. For example, a secret can be revealed to one character from another character's perspective, and then we switch to that character's perspective and start long before that point and may not even reach that point. It got a little confusing, but I think that is the nature of the issue and a bit unavoidable. I loved having all the different perspectives of the same situations because they add a lot a nuance and humor to the stories.

Ugh, politics.

Yeah, current political commentary is not what I want in a fantasy novel. The author's not even coy about it. Like who was asking for this?

Very disappointing

I really wanted to like this book, and overall I think I do like the story except for a couple of parts. What was pirate Abba thanking putting in inter-species six and real world politics in your books do you know that you just offended half of your base. Do you have the right to your opinion and your beliefs but if you but if you’re going to put real world politics in your books don’t let anybody know which side you lean to because most of us conservatives are going to stop reading your stuff. Is some of the ideals that your characters have in the books are completely in utterly ridiculous. Do you can do a lot better than what you have been doing with these books please strive to do so in the future keep real world politics out of fantasy seriously it’s not cool. Your characters have some really dumb theories and ideals especially your main character Aaron she has got to be blonde I have never ever in my whole life I hated a main character as much as yours even a few of your side characters piss me off sometimes because they act like little kids who have no experience in the world and I’ve never been through anything or done anything because they’re completely clueless to how the world works real or fake and they do not have any kind of concept of true right and wrong. Your theories are good as theories but as far as real world their ideals or just that ideals and have no basis in reality they are not feasible at all. Change those few things when you have a great book on your hands.

Please leave politics out of the fantasy genre.

It would be nice if I could listen to a fantasy off world novel and not have to get Presidential politics from the United States thrown in my face. Spoiler alert that has nothing to do with the story: Early in the book the author brings together a group of people that have been whisked away from Earth into this new land. When they realize that there is some time distortion between the two planets, in order to ground everyone on what has happened just before each person has left Earth, one of the travelers says that “Trump just instituted the Muslim ban”. Executive order 13780 instituted a travel ban for individuals from 6 specific countries. Those countries were Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen. According to the Pew Research Center in 2010 there were 50 Muslim-majority countries. That leaves 43 countries that Muslims could have been coming from to get into the United States. If you hate Trump, you could at least be accurate in your bashing from the long distance of the land of Dragons and magic. How about his hair…. Or maybe, just maybe, you could give us all a break and let us be engrossed in a land of Dragons and magic and leave out the politics from the United States of America. 4.25% of the world population lives in the United States. There are more people in countries other than the States and the rest of us don’t care who your president is.

Just as good as the first!

This series has quickly become my favorite in this genre hands down! The characters are so relatable and hilarious I just can’t stop listening and at 60+ hours in this novel alone there is plenty of bang for your buck!! I can’t wait for the next installment of this series!

even better than part 1

I really enjoyed the first one and this installment gas not disappointed. Andrea is an excellent narrator who sucks you in to the story. I believe she's the Lady counterpart to R C Bray, she's that good! You really need to start with the first part or you're going to be lost with this one. The story picks up literally the next morning after the boss fight with the flesh worm, few authors do this and I think Pirate has done it because the story is actually serialised in a blog so it's potentially not going to end any time soon and I'm in no hurry for that. The two books together add up to over 100 hours of listening which is outstanding value for a mere 2 credits.

What a wonderful world

The 60+ hours of this book has flown by and I fond myself a little sad that I now have to wait an unknown amount of time before I get to travel back to this world and meet all of the wonderful characters again. my only, very small criticism is that too many people 'blinked'.. 'this person blinked in surprise', 'Erin blinked', 'he didn't have eyelids, but if he did he would have blinked!" it became a little distracting but I'm really just nit picking. Andrea Parsneau is one of my new favourite readers, up there with R.C Bray. Fingers crossed that we don't have to wait too long for the next installment...

Truly a work of art!! Just Amazing 5🌟!!

This is great to see a continuation that improves so much on the original! Pirate Aba is an outstanding writer but the patern ship Andrea Parsneau was the best choice. The characters continue to grow and the story grows bigger and better truly looking to see what happens.

This is one of the most well written books!

This book better than the amazing first installment. All characters show significant development as we explore their stories and encounters. This book gives us a greater insight into the world and the different classes. It delves into different characters and introduces us to even more dynamic and interesting characters. The book provides us with a variety of emotions, the humour is top par, and the sad movements are sad :(. I absolutely love this book and suggest it to anyone and everyone. I belive this is a book for all. On a side note - the side stories are hugely entertaining. They also cover vital queries many have questioned in the past. 5*. Also the narrator did a stellar job, she has brought the whole world alive!

Fantastic!

The story is fantastic. Just listened to both volumes back to back over the last week. Couldn't stop and found myself going 'just another chapter' very often. The Narrator is amazing her voices are probably the best I've heard in any Audiobook, regardless of the gender or species of the character. Was honestly disappointed when I noticed that there were only 5hrs left.
