Great characters, good story.

Overall a great book, great characters and settings. One of the better fantasy series on Audible.
Unfortunately the are some strange long pauses and jumps with audio, that are obvious enough to be a little distracting

Great listen.

Im afraid Peter Joyce may have been given little instruction on the correct pronunciation of many of the key characters names in this series, but otherwise the performance is adequate.

He is consistent and his characterizations are subtle but effective for the most part. The voicing of Baru and Murmandamus I feel are dead wrong, but hey, that's audio books for you.

Well worth the buy if you dont have the time or inclination to sit down with this great read.

Great second chapter in tue series.

I enjoyed this book much better than the fo2rst one. With the characters introduced already in Magician, Silverthorne was able to go deeper into each of the characters and there bonds. My favourite character Jimmy the Hand was brilliant and I can not wait to see what other mischievous events he gets into. Fantastic read can not wait to start book 3.

Good continuation

if you've listened to the first, you're certainly going to listen to the rest anyway.

A great sequel.

I think that silverthorn was a great follow up to The Magician. It was not very fast paced. A let down. But it was still very hooking and captured the readers imagination on a few things namely "The Enemy". Overall great listen. I will be looking forward to darkness at sethathon. I think that is the third book. Or maybe the first in the serpent triology. Anyway it's by Raymond E Feist so it's bound to be good

Excellent story and narration

I read these books years ago as a teenager and loved them. Listening to them now brings back good memories. Peter Joyce narrates wonderfully and is a pleasure to listen too.

Continuing the Epic

An enthralling sequel continuing to follow the characters from the Magician with a captivating storyline.

Well known fantasy series, enjoyed revisiting.

Pronunciation of some character names differ from my reading of them. Asian accents for Tsurani uncalled for and offensive. Reader should leave the story alone and his interpretation of how characters should sound out unless described by the author.

The narrator is a hack

Bad accents, weird emphasis on words, constant mispronouncing of names and words. There has to be a better audiobook version available, I recommend you find it.

Great story, poor narrator

I love this series, but the narrator has a limited range and misses the nuisances of these amazing characters. The narrator has as much emotive connection to the characters, as does a pudding.
