Loved Painter but found Brio hard to relate to
Painter works for the Delphic Agency but has never been interested in BDSM. The Agency’s psych eval indicates he is a natural dom and he is convinced to take on Brio, the troubled business partner in Ash’s software company. This was a more psychological and less sexual romance than Paid To Kneel. Painter must unlock the keys to ease Brio’s troubled mind. I enjoyed it, especially Painter’s training and learning, but felt pretty removed from what was happening in Brio’s head, it was hard to relate to his damage. As such, the story felt more disjoint and I didn’t really feel convinced by the romantic aspects. Gavin McAllister does another great job on the audio, but I didn’t enjoy his voicing of Brio, it felt like a fussy voice. I am loving the series concept though, so I’ll stick with it.
