Publisher's Summary
As Mason strengthens his magic over metal and stone, the Master lurks in the shadows.
To lure the Master out and stop his nefarious plot, Mason and his harem of mages and princesses have to do several things:
- Take over the Order of Mages
- Build a train and railroad system to connect the kingdoms of Illaria and Cedis
- Keep from getting burned by giant, murderous creatures made of flame
Sounds like a piece of cake, right?

Good follow up, but a bit short for my tastes
I love the duel narrators, it can make a huge difference when creating characters. I liked the general premise of this series, a pleasant break from the glut of litrpg books I have seen lately. Personally I could do without the graphic sex scenes even though I realize it's a strong selling point and being familiar with this author's other series, it does not come as a shock, I just think the stories are strong enough to stand on their own merit. The only real problem I have had with any of his books is his tendency to overuse cliffhanger endings.
Bottom line I will be picking up the next book in this series as soon as I can get it...

Decent Pulp
if Terra mages can levitate stone why bother with mechanical trains? Other than that small oddity it's a decent listen, with an interesting if a little shallow world. Still not sure how a Kingdom without an army can exist at all though.
