Publisher's Summary

Theatre of the Mind traces its origins to Dr. Maxwell Maltz - a world-famous plastic surgeon who discovered the incredible power that existed in a person's self-image.

Through his research, he realized that the real source of people's issues and concerns was not of their outward physical appearance, but how they thought about themselves.

Dr. Maltz's principles of Psycho-Cybernetics have inspired and enhanced the lives of more than 30 million people throughout the world. Psycho-Cybernetics moved human development out of the realm of wishing, hoping, and inconclusive techniques, and into the realm of predictable, positive results.

Matt Furey has spent his life studying, applying, and benefiting from the principles of Psycho-Cybernetics. Through his engagement with these powerful principles, what started as a severe personal crisis turned into a lifetime complete with realized expectations and fulfilled desires. In Theatre of the Mind, Matt shares the ideas, techniques, and strategies that have helped him reached the highest levels of personal achievement and satisfaction, and can do the same for you.

Dr. Maltz coined the phrase "Theatre of the Mind" to represent a place you can mentally go to in order to strengthen your self-image and, ultimately, your life. It's a powerful internal guidance system strengthened by using your creative imagination. The more you use this system, the more you will know the meaning of the saying, "What you want, wants you."

  • Silence your inner critic once and for all
  • Make what was once difficult... easy
  • Trust your success instinct
  • See yourself with "kind eyes"
  • And so much more!

Very Disappointing

This Author speaks in very grandiose terms which undermines the impact of the message. He regularly states points as being 'effortless and instant' that will 'completely and forever' change your entire life when really what he means is that they require time and practice and will improve your life.

He constantly uses 'and' as a speaking pause to fill gaps between his thoughts. This is very agitating, unprofessional and actually annoying as it suggests that he is not reading the book exactly or worse... There is no book and he is winging as he goes along.

Over all the message is lost as he often goes on tangents whilst half way through a thought which means we regularly don't hear the information required to learn the lesson.

There are a number of other books with the same information but that are written by someone who passed Literature lessons at school
