Publisher's Summary

A lush, tropical island on an icy planet makes no sense.

Then again, not much makes sense anymore after waking up and finding myself not in bed but on a strange world populated by aliens. Since that moment, I've learned that nothing is normal anymore and I've got to roll with the punches. I can handle this, though. I'm strong and capable.

So...washed up on a tropical island? Got it handled.

Separated from the others in my group? Handled.

Stranded alone with a brutal but delicious alien man that can't speak English but has great...ahem...body language? Yup, handled.

Add in the fact that my cootie - a symbiont I need to survive - has chosen my big, hulking alien friend as my fated mate? Let's just say that the situation isn't the only thing that's going to be handled.

But it isn't long before I learn that the tropical island paradise is a death trap and we're all in grave danger, aliens, and humans alike. To survive this, I'll need my tempting guy to give me a hand with the situation...good thing he's got four of them.

Contains mature themes.

***Omg Amazing***

I love you Ruby Dixon for not giving up on our blue barbarian babes and their human girls. This is another amazing beginning for a spin off series (is it) its just blows my mind how does Ruby comes up with this story lines from hehe but no matter i am grateful she does because i would sink into depression to see the series ends. The narrators are both excellent, Felicity can even portrays both males and females easily but I am.glad they have a Sean Crisden for the male characters, his voice is so deep and sexy *sighs*.

Overall, it was a good story but the beginning as a little draggy. Still enjoyed the book nevertheless

Story was awesome, less than impressed with narrators.

I really enjoyed this new spin off of the Ice Planet Barbarians even though I didn't like why there is this spin off. I don't like that Maddock's old crew was taken and killed off! However the new cast of characters are set up for some very interesting story lines.

Ruby Dixon, the author, has three series that are in Audible so that is the reasoning behind the three sets of narrators. I loved the narrators for the Ice Planet Barbarians, the but who did the male voices was awesome hands down. I completely hate how both narrators did the voices for the males in this book. They are made to sound slow whitted, the female voices where good though.

Great Story

I enjoyed it. I liked how the story evolved. There was great chemistry between the hero and heroine. I felt she was brave, confident and was no wilting flower. The author created a great characters. I enjoyed it.

Ice Planet Becomes Icehome

Love this series ever since I found it in kindle, and I appreciate having it in audio. If you like the alien abduction genre, or Earth women changing other planets/societies, this is one of the better ones out there. Sexy and sweet.
Munroe and Crisden do a creditable job with narration.

I feel like I should have read the other books

the original ice Planet barbarians books only has the first three books on audio I should have read it through more of that series before actually reading this book however of course they don't have them all on audio yet. this book referenced some of the characters in the other books and at times I feel a little lost.

Great sci-fi romance!

Ruby Dixon has the knack of writing entertaining and attention grabbing stories. This audiobook is the first in a series connected to her original Ice Planet series and it held up very well! We have the introduction of a new cast of characters, while still staying connected to the older set. The story is engaging ad moves at a fast pace. Narration was well performed and I’m looking forward to the next book in this series!

awesome as usual for Ms. Dixon and her blue dudes

What made the experience of listening to Lauren's Barbarian: A SciFi Alien Romance the most enjoyable?

she writes out of the box, adds in new characters along the way instead of repeatedly recycling the old ones.

Who was your favorite character and why?

the little baby

Have you listened to any of Felicity Munroe and Sean Crisden ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

yes, they both have wonderful voices and add in a lot of "visual" character and good humor to thier voices

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No, some laughing

Any additional comments?

I really like this series, I wish there were a hundred more books. The combo of the voices and the story are really great

Brilliant.

Was a little bit prejudice about the whole four armed alien thing, and had decided not to buy this book. but, I changed my mind and I'm so glad. I really enjoyed it. I loved the baby. I loved how the clans came together. And I loved the suspense of being on an island that could errupt at any moment.

Btw. I saw a review that mentioned Murdock's old crew being taken away and killed, but nothing like that happened in this book, so that confused me.

The narration was great. Overall, this is my favourite so far even though it is only a spin off from ice planet barbarians.
