Publisher's Summary

Inside the opulent palaces and lavish mansions, the royal family is ransacking the country's dwindling coffers while the desert kingdom seethes with unrest.

Appalled at his family's extravagant lifestyle, Crown Prince Nasir vows to end the careless and destructive rule and sets in motion a top-secret operation to destroy the Saudi oil industry and bankrupt the monarch. To do so, he must enlist the help of an ally, a naval power willing to help Sturn for a share of the wealth....

Great fictional story by a talented author.

Superb book. Action all the way and brilliantly narrated by George Guidall. Recommended for those who like the techno-military style of book, with a hint of espionage as well.
Its a big call to make, but in my view Patrick Robinson surpasses the late great Tom Clancy.

Very intricate and interesting story.

Another great Robinson well developed mystery military thriller. Excellently Narrated. I can't imagine there actually being a person like Admiral Morgan. but he makes a great character. Only one very small error. The beach in Sydney is spelt Bondi. It is pronounced Bondi not Bondee!
Otherwise a marvellous Audio Book.

Another great Arnold Morgan book

Imaginative thriller with down to earth characters. A good story and a great listen. I wish the full list were available.

Sloppy, glaring errors, ridiculous story

Would have given this 0 stars if that option were available.
Authors (and their editors) really need to check the details of their work. I stopped listening after about three chapters because of the unforgiveable, irritating fundamental errors in this book. Some examples:
1. One character works at Damascus airport but is doing pilot training just 'outside the city' at Aleppo airport. Even a cursory look at the Syrian map would show that Damascus and Aleppo are about 5 hours apart by car. Same character is apparently Jewish, and a spy, and working in a Syrian government role. Ummm, no.
2. Another character flies to Paris on an 'Airbus Boeing plane'. Airbus is one company (and French) and Boeing is another company (and from the US) and the planes are very different in the tech they use. And Airbus and Boeing are the two largest and competing airplane manufacturers in the world. It's like saying 'my Coke Pepsi soda'.
3. Characters portrayed as devout Muslims drinking wine and eating food with wine in it. This is really such a basic error I just can't believe that the book editors let this one through. Of course, some Muslims drink alcohol, but not if they are devout.
4. Portraying Saudis as entirely nomadic (before oil) and living on camel milk and dates. So many things wrong with this description I won't even bother unpacking the errors.
Finally, the whole premise of this book is just laughable. Spoiler alert. There is no way a Saudi prince would ever enlist the help of a foreign nation in a coup d'etat. This is the clearest evidence that the author did little (or probably no) research, and knows nothing and understands nothing about the psyche of Gulf Arabs and the ruling families in the region.
Here's a tip: If you are going to write a book that is entirely based on the inner workings of a foreign culture, best you research that culture up the wazoo before writing a word.
The narrator was fine but he only used accents for some characters. (Americans, mainly). His Israeli character's accent sounded like Antonio Banderas, and the French characters had American accents. I kinda feel you either do every accent or none at all.
