this is the weakest book in series and comes off a bit self indulgent. still a good listen though and leads into the fantastic last volume

I’m listening to these in order and I must admit sometimes I can get a bit lost with King’s story but this novel brought it all into line and I can’t wait for the next instalment!

Whilst the title gives you an idea that the focus is on Susana, it really goes overboard. The constant internal dialogue between Susana and Mia becomes boring quickly.
Roland is barely in this book, as is Eddie and Jake.
Every scene away from Susana is brilliant and exciting, except for the final scene.
Whilst you can’t skip this book you certainly are tempted to skip the chapters with Susana just arguing with Mia

I love this story - it's definitely best to have listened to the series from the beginning (The Dark Tower I - The Gunslinger) it's an addictive series but it's over 140 hours of brilliant storytelling. definitely going to work my way through it all again!

Fair bit of not much happens. Progresses the story along, but compared to other books in the series this wasn’t as entertaining.

As I am writing this, the last book is already out. But I am still so eager to listen to it.

This one is short. Only took me 2 days to listen to it. Like all the books before this, it is engaging, his writing of this book may be his greatest work. This is indeed up there with The Lord of The Rings and other such great adventures. I just hope I don't die before I can finish the series.
