Story
In 2013, the New York Times published an obituary for Yvonne Brill. It began: “She made a mean beef stroganoff, followed her husband from job to job, and took eight years off from work to raise three children.” It wasn’t until the second paragraph that readers discovered why the Times had devoted several hundred words to her life: Brill was a brilliant rocket scientist who invented a propulsion system to keep communications satellites in orbit, and had recently been awarded the National Medal of Technology and Innovation.

Sound like a pipe dream?
It’s not. This audiobook will show you how.
As a 15-year engineering industry veteran and mom of three, Stephanie Slocum uses a conversational and down-to-earth approach to teach you how to succeed as a female engineer:
- How to determine your strengths and use them for maximum influence
- How to find your expert niche and use it to create the career (and life!) you deserve
- Why the well-meaning career advice given to male engineers backfires for women, and how you can avoid those traps
- How to have a career you love without sacrificing all your waking hours
- How to neutralize gender bias while maximizing your earning potential
- The one thing you must do to elevate your career to the next level
Each chapter concludes with actions you can do in 30 minutes or less for immediate results.
