FRANK BOWDEN has been accused many times of having a way with words. As a youngster, he wrote poems and verses to sweethearts, but made no attempt at serious writing. His view of life is to participate and enjoy it. Athletically, he could always make the team, was never a Star, but had fun being a participant. As a credentialed Insurance Executive, he was asked to write articles for the company magazine. Some were chosen by other industry publications and published. Many times, Frank was asked to make talks at schools, churches, and Veterans’ events. Having come from a military family and a veteran himself, he began writing articles for local newspapers about citizens in his own community who had served their country. He was humbled by the experience, listening to the quiet heroes tell their stories. This is his first attempt at a novel. The author’s only hope is that you enjoy reading it as much as he enjoyed writing it.
