Time Will Tell

Murder, lies, deceit, ambition, revenge, justice, and loyalty are a few of the things Las Vegas District Attorney Erroll Whitlock II must endure or overcome after hearing about the shocking murder of his close friend and local television personality, Field Carpenter, mere hours after two men escape from the Private Correctional Institution located on the famous Las Vegas Strip.

During the sold-out premiere of the most anticipated new show in Las Vegas at the Marigold Hotel and Casino, everyone in attendance will experience more than what they expected, especially the attempted murder victim who at the time was on stage in full view of the packed theater. The success of the show was paramount to Marigold owner Aiden Accard's well-being because when his hotel was in the midst of financial difficulties, he'd made an arrangement with "the family" that was mutually beneficial for both parties.

During the search for Ellis Knox, who was having a good day until he went over the side of the boat he and his friends were on and disappeared beneath the waters of Lake Mead, authorities stumble across vital evidence disclosing the location of a notorious fugitive who's eluded the FBI for over a decade. Though already working on a separate case, Ray Diamond agrees to help after literally being begged for his assistance by the unlikeliest of sources, and as he dives deeper into both cases, it doesn't take long before Diamond discovers they're intertwined.

It is the fall of 1989 and Las Vegas residents are living in fear of a serial killer the media has dubbed, the Strip Slayer, who reached their breaking point and began murdering people every seven days. As the body count continues to rise, and the holiday season fast approaching when Vegas will be bursting at the seams with tourists, it is a race against time for newly appointed lead detective, Stanley Palmer, who is dealing with personal issues of his own.

Everything seemed normal at the prestigious Robards Auction House in Las Vegas until the explosion occurred that left multiple people injured, at least one dead, and an extremely valuable antique pocket watch stolen. Private detective Ray Diamond is among those in attendance at the time of the explosion, as the pocket watch is an integral piece to the case he is currently working, but in a flash, Diamond is thrust into a case that begins with the questions of whether the explosion that left one person dead was murder, a diversion for the theft, or if the theft was committed out of convenience.
