While most residents flee to the mainland, the intrepid Bruce Cable decides to stay and ride out the storm. The bookseller gets drawn back into investigating when the hurricane becomes the perfect cover-up for a murder. Who would want his friend and thriller author, Nelson Kerr, dead? Before long, Bruce begins to suspect that the shady characters in Nelson’s novels are not fictional, but very real and extremely dangerous.
