The Shattered Soul

Born of magic in the final days of war, Draeken’s power is near absolute - until his soul shatters, leaving five fragments. Each possesses a single magic, and a consciousness of his own. Trained by the Hauntress, they secretly quell threats throughout the kingdoms, and their mastery grows with every passing age. But their time of unity has come, for a dangerous new foe has arrived.

The fragments of Draeken have protected Lumineia for ages, but never faced such a foe. Serak, the Father of Guardians, has plotted for thousands of years, studying them in secret, even inciting conflicts to measure their power. Now allied with Wylyn, leader of the invading krey, he is even more dangerous, yet his true purpose is a mystery. The fragment of Shadow is sent in search of Wylyn’s son. Intelligent and tactical, Relgor thinks himself a master of all, and wants the fragments for his own gain. 

The tide of war continues to rise, and the fragments of Draeken have parted to fight the expanding threats. While the other fragments hunt the remaining outlanders, Light dons the persona of Serak, head of the Order of Ancients, and infiltrates their ranks to find the missing dark elf queen. But wearing Serak’s face will not hide Light’s nature, and his innocence could very well be their undoing.

The fragments of Draeken battle foes on two fronts. Wylyn, head of a powerful krey house, seeks the fabled Shard of Midnight, a massive tower rumored to have fallen during the Dawn of Magic. If it rises, she will bring her vast army to the shores of Lumineia. Her plan depends on Tardoq, her sworn protector, and the one with betrayal in his heart.

A fragment of Draeken has fallen. As the remaining fragments cope with the devastating loss, Mind embarks on a journey to discover Serak’s past, a trail that will lead to shocking secrets about friends, foes, and himself. But the trail of truth is not of his own make, and Serak has laid a path right to his door. With winter settling on Lumineia, the kings and queens start building an army to destroy Serak. Many are quick to join the budding alliance, but one soldier struggles to choose a side.

Malevolent and supreme, he has lurked within Draeken for ages, preparing for his ultimate ascendancy. Now, he seeks four mighty generals so he can unleash Serak’s limitless army. If he obtains his desire, his reign will be eternal. Weakened and outmatched, the fragments are not without allies. Assassins and queens, dakorians and Eternals, all stand united against Draeken’s invasion.
