In the aftermath of an unprecedented magical disaster, Edge wakes up in a monster-infested wilderness, standing on the bottom of the food chain. But he won’t be there for long. After finding a unique core known as Skill-Eater, Edge gains the power to steal the skills of monsters, men, and beasts, and a chance to battle his way up to the top.

While Edge was returning from his latest adventure, Puppet Town received a quest from the System that would either help the settlement survive or seal its fate. If they can clear a deadly dungeon packed to the brim with powerful monsters and defeat the boss lurking in the final chamber, the settlement can start producing cores for its residents, boosting their odds of overcoming the ordeals to come. It won’t be easy. A bloodthirsty gang known as the Crimson Claws received the quest, too.

Edge has conquered the Savage Garden and claimed the core manufactory for Puppet Town, but the conflict with the Crimson Claws has entered a deadly new stage. A brutal band of jailbirds has besieged the expedition, trapping them underground. A second warband has gathered on the Ivory Plain, preparing to invade the settlement. Edge must fight to save his friends and defend his new home, taking on an elite gang of killers armed with powerful cores and lethal skills, led by the infamous warlord, Yussuf the Red.

Puppet Town has won its war with the Crimson Claws and put the undead stampede to rest, but another storm is brewing along the horizon. That ferocious swarm of reanimated beasts was only the first wave. A tsunami of ravenous critters is surging toward the settlement, led by a kaiju of epic proportions.
