About this listen

An action-packed new LitRPG apocalypse perfect for fans of The Primal Hunter, Hell Difficulty Tutorial, and 1% Lifesteal.

The System warned them. The world panicked. Alex prepared.

In college for a degree he didn’t care about, the promise of the System creating a world where magic and challenge awaited—even at the risk of death—was the best news Alex possibly could have imagined.

Yeah, Alex was ready for a new life. He wasn’t, however, ready for his only friend to shove him through a portal into hell the moment the apocalypse started.

Instead of getting to hunt rabbits and farm wolves to start out, Alex finds himself stranded in a warped world where everything, including the bugs, is stronger than he is. Even with a Summoner Class that gains the powers of its monsters, most people would have died.

Alex didn’t get the memo. He loves the challenge. Where others might have seen certain death, he finds something else:

Opportunity.

Don't miss the start of this action-packed LitRPG Apocalypse series by Actus, bestselling author of Return of the Runebound Professor and Rise of the Living Forge. It's perfect for fans of The Primal Hunter, Hell Difficulty Tutorial, and 1% Lifesteal.

I was scrolling for my next book to listen to when I saw Actus released a new series. low and behold it is a banger right out of the gate!!

The narrator is perfect, the pacing feels good and the world building is top tier for book one. I'm looking forward to the next entry in this series.

Take a chance and give it a listen, you won't regret it.

Great start to a new series.

I have 150+ books in audible all within the sphere of Sci-fi / Fantasy blends, I've hammered out many series some dropped others seen out to the end.

This is one of the FEW VERY books i not only bother to review but also write a review on. And let me say it has me HOOKED the quality of the writing is not just some cheap liteRPG. Actus has something special. It's engaging, has depth and manages to avoid lots of expected cringe, not only that but it is a decently sized book so your getting good value for this. Also want to Quickly add the Narrator is great !

I even went so far as to buy the on special "my best friends an elderige horror" to check if this was a one off but the quality of writing was also great in that series too.

100% Recommend getting this. Dont joke about. Seriously give it a go and check for my review in book two, i already have it on pr-eoder & not mucking about.

Not too bad, entertaining with some good world building and character sets, a little too overly descriptive in places but on the whole an enjoyable story, will definitely read the next one.

good story and world building
