বাংলা শিশু বা কিশোরসাহিত্য একদিক থেকে বড় ভাগ্যবান। একবারও ছোটদের জন্য লিখে কলমশুদ্ধি করেননি, এমন কোনও প্রথম সারির বাংলা সাহিত্যিক খুঁজে পাওয়া মুশকিল। শুধুমাত্র ছোটদের জন্যই আজীবন লিখে গেছেন এমন সাহিত্যিকও বড় কম নেই বাংলায়; এবং ধ্রুবতারার মতো উজ্জ্বল তাঁদের অনেকেরই উপস্থিতি। এমন একটি নাম রেবন্ত গোস্বামী। গত শতাব্দীর আটের দশক থেকে এই সহস্রাব্দের প্রথম দশক পর্যন্ত তাঁর সোনার কলমে ঝরে-পড়া একেকটি অমূল্য রতনকে পাথেয় করে শৈশব থেকে কৈশোরে, যৌবনে প্রবেশ করেছেন অনেকেই। তাঁর সমগ্র লেখালেখি থেকে শুধুমাত্র কল্পবিজ্ঞান ও বিজ্ঞানভিত্তিক গল্প আর ছড়াগুলিকে পুনরুদ্ধার করে একটি সুতোয় বোনার চেষ্টা এই সংকলনে।

ভারতবর্ষের স্বাধীনতা এক দীর্ঘ সংগ্রামের ফল। এক হাতে কিছু সংগ্রামীরা বন্দুক নিয়ে যুদ্ধে নামে, আর অন্য হাথে কয়েকজন আদর্শ যুদ্ধ করেছিলেন। আর আরো একদল স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামের ভাবনা নিজেদের নাটকের মাধ্যমে লোকেদের কাছে পৌঁছোচ্ছিলেন সংগ্রামীর মনের আগুন - নাট্যমঞ্চে। তার মধ্যে ছিলেন লেখক - বিজন ভট্টাচার্য। তার এই নাটক - দেবী গর্জন - শুনুন শুধুমাত্র স্টোরিটেল এ!
