This mulit layered, dual time period family saga slowly unfolds towards the family secret reveal.

Contained a nice balance of characters in both periods who I enjoyed spending time with.

The narration only added to the experience. Highly recommended read for those who enjoy multi period historical saga, family secrets set in wonderful locations.

My first book from this incredible author. I could not put it down. What a tapestry of intertwined well rounded characters, crossing back and fourth through time. So intricate was the development of characters it had me spellbound. I especially loved the large chapters between time shifts, each one having mini cliffhangers leaving you with so much intrigue to keep moving to see how it unfolds. Truly an incredible read, one of the best I have read for a long time. Didn't want it to end. Perfect narration also.
