In the near future, U.S. forces are completing their final withdrawal from bases in the Philippines. The navy of the People's Republic of China lays claim to the Spratly Islands, decimating a Philippine drilling platform when its occupants refuse to knuckle under.

The year is 1941. Shortly after the United States declares war on Japan in response to Pearl Harbor, Japan’s Tripartite Treaty allies, Germany and Italy, declare war on America. The United States finds itself in a two-theater war. President Franklin Roosevelt sets as America’s first priority the defeat of Nazi Germany, electing to wage a more-or-less holding war in the Pacific. In the beginning, the only force opposing the Japanese onslaught in the Pacific is the U.S. Submarine Service.

Master is a lone soldier, relying on near-future technology and his own creativity to survive in the Gray Zone of the Ukrainian warzone. The year is 2028. The simmering conflict has transformed into a new kind of battlefield, where military streamers compete for followers and views while carrying out often deadly missions. Armed with an arsenal of experimental technology—including an advanced computer-brain interface, a multifunctional prosthetic arm, AI, and drones controlled with his mind—Master embarks on a desperate run for his life as he searches for missing fellow streamers.

Six Christian missionaries are kidnapped by the Iranian government, and become unwitting pawns in a high stakes gambit to embarrass a hated US sitting president and ruin his chances of reelection. With the help of Israel’s vaunted intelligence agency Mossad, the prisoners are located in an ancient fortified prison just outside the southeastern Iranian port of Kanarak, a resort city off the Gulf of Oman.
