  • Summary

  • Today we explore the origin and early history of the Yasukuni Shrine.

What is Yasukuni? Simply put it is a shrine dedicated to peace and the soldiers of Japan. It’s name translates to Peaceful Land Shrine (Yasukuni Jinja) and despite the name it is the most controversial Shinto Shrine there is.
